Museum picnic in the countryside

A gourmet tour in the footsteps of Peter Rosegger

The half-hour walk from the car park on the Alpl to the Rosegger birthplace will put you in the right mood for this gourmet tour in the footsteps of Peter Rosegger. Learn more about the favourite dishes of the ‘Waldbauernbuben’ (Rosegger’s nickname: the ‘forest farm lad’) on a guided tour that will whet your appetite, then take in the view of the Fischbacher Alps all the way to the Wechsel region while enjoying the picnic basket of your choice at the Kluppeneggerhof farm.

Guided tour: ‘Egg cake, polenta and pit cabbage’

On this tour, you will learn facts about a farmer’s diet at the time of Peter Rosegger, as well as about the favourite foods of the ‘Waldbauernbuben’, as he is known. Length: 50 min
