Indoor climbing gym
The sports and fun park in St. Barbara im Mürztal / Mitterdorf is home to an indoor golf course and a driving range as well as the largest indoor climbing gym in Austria and is the ideal starting point for anyone who wants to get a taste of higher altitudes. In addition to the indoor climbing area, a spacious outdoor climbing area is also available from April to November. A good introduction to the climbing world is to do the Top Rope course. You’ll automatically be secured by an automatic safety device so you can fully concentrate on climbing. Lead climbing is a challenge for both your mind and your body, and the discipline is not called the ‘top class’ for nothing. You’ll go through different routes of varying degrees of difficulty; if you can manage to complete them all, it’s an achievement to be truly proud of. On the internationally standardised speed-climbing wall, you’ll need not only precise hand- and footwork but speed and power as well. On the bouldering walls, you climb without a rope, with single moves and tricky movement sequences being a standard component. The mats on the floor provide the necessary safety. Our own ‘Fun Walls’ for children and adults make it possible to get to know climbing as a sport in a playful and informal way. Those who already have a passion for climbing can take courses with the professional instructors.
